Time to take out the trash! I have a bunch of skincare items and a couple of makeup items I’m ready to toss out. But let me tell you how they’ve treated me first!
And I know, it’s been a while. But hey, finals are over, the semester’s over, and I’m ready to get back on track and do even more exciting things this summer.
Back to the beauty product empties!
Gud Natural Softening Conditioner in Vanilla Flame
PROS: Smells delicious and is nutritious — in a sense that it’s packed with great ingredients such as leaf extracts and seed oil (both of which are great for increasing hair length). It detangles your hair INSTANTLY (yes, I emphasized INSTANTLY on purpose) and makes brushing your hair straight out of the shower so much easier. Heavenly vanilla smell.
CONS: This is a somewhat light conditioner, and it really doesn’t seem to help with moisturizing.
The Body Shop Vitamin E Intense Moisture Cream
PROS: Perfect for dry skin! It feeds my skin type the exact amount of moisture it needs. Faint and delicate sweet smell. Cute packaging!
CONS: Can look oily for anyone who DOES NOT have dry skin. Pricey ($22). No SPF 😦
Bath & Body Works “Citrus Orchid” and Victoria Secret “Ravishing Love”
PROS: Both smell delicious! Floral and feminine, perfect for the daytime.
CONS: Moisturizing factor is a little less than decent (lasts about five minutes).
Kracie Naive Facial Cleansing Foam
PROS: Leaves skin squeaky clean, takes off 90% of makeup, including eye makeup. Great way to take off makeup for the lazy girl. Great moisturizing feeling.
CONS: Makes skin feel super tight after use — make sure to use a good moisturizer afterwards! Not at all an acne treatment wash (I use this right before my acne facial wash). May not be easily accessible to people not living near Asian Supermarkets.
Simple Moisturizing Facial Wash
PROS: Gentle, but still cleans. Great for guys and girls with fairly clearer skin.
CONS: Definitely not harsh enough to tackle the Mr. Acne and Mrs. Pimples.
Mally Perfect Prep Eye Brightener “Deeper”
*Note: I use this as a tinted moisturizer/foundation, NOT as an eye brightener, so this is how I’ve based my reviews.
PROS: Lightweight, moisturizing, adjusts to skin tone. Super blendable and easy to work with. Great for the warmer months.
CONS: Not long-lasting — average wear is bout 5 hours, and then starts to fade into skin.
And that’s all for now, guys! Thanks for reading. Watch up on my video on my YouTube for more details!
I hope you guys have a wonderful start to summer, and if you’re still in school, then a wonderful last few months until it ends! 😀
