Hey guys! Sorry this is uploaded a little late today.
Today I wanted to share with you an everyday go to look that I’ve been loving lately! An everyday, natural look that still brings out your summer glow in the winter. I apologize for the selfie mode photo, but I am not the best photographer! I’ll try my best to get better, though!
For the face: I started out by moisturizing my skin with Philosophy’s Hope in a Jar. [It’s a new moisturizer that I’m currently trying out]. After I let this set in my skin for about five minutes, I went ahead and applied Hydrolyze BB Eye Brighten and Correct under my eyes and a little on the eyelids to cancel out darkness and discoloration. It’s a peachy, salmon color that’s perfect for brightening up the slightly purple hues under and around my eyes.
I then applied Maybelline’s Instant Age Rewind Concealer all over the face, just because it’s the perfect foundation shade for me right now, and I blended it out using my flat-top angled foundation brush by IT Cosmetics.
For the eyes: I used Tarte Amazonian Clay Brow Mousse to shape and fill my brows. It gives off the most natural finish. I then went ahead and primed my eyes using the ELF Eyelid Primer, and followed with MAC Painterly Paint Pot for a nice skin-toned base color. For the lid up to my brow bone, I used Stark from the Urban Decay Naked Basics 2 Palette.
Afterwards, I took a blending crease brush and applied NYX Baked Shadow in Shira (a beautiful light-golden bronze that comes out best when applied to the lid, but it also makes for a beautiful crease color). I then finished off with my two faves — L’Oreal Lineur Intense Eyeliner and CoverGirl LashBlast Mascara.
For the lips: I used the nude, slightly berry color, Liar, an Urban Decay lip shade. I then layered L’Oreal The Balm in Ginger over Liar to make the lip color a little lighter.
For warmth and glow: I dabbed a tiny bit of Maybelline Bouncy Blush in Hot Tamale and set that and my concealer with the Jane Multi-Colored Face Correcteur Powder. I then applied a light layer of ELF Studio Blush in Pink Passion and finished off the look by warming my cheeks with Sonia Kashuk Goddess Illuminating Bronzer, using the 3B method.
To add that extra highlighted glow, I took the shimmery off-pink eyeshadow Champagne Truffle from the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette on a small blush brush, and dusted this along the highest points of my cheeks, down my nose, across my cupid’s bow, and across the forehead.
And that’s my glowy, natural winter go-to look! Hope you guys try out some of these products or techniques! Stay warm, and hope you’ve all had a peaceful and relaxing Valentine’s Day, regardless of what you did!
