One At-Home Skin Treatment That Can Change Your Skincare Routine and Skin Forever!

Hey ladies and gents!

So today’s post is going to be about one, simple, at-home treatment that can change the way your skin looks and feels forever! Okay, maybe it’s not really a treatment, it’s more of a step, that can feel like a treatment.

Some of us just wash our face in the morning, some of us just at night. Some use 3-step systems and some just use soap and water! No matter how simple or complex your skincare routine may be, incorporating this one step at least once a week will make a difference in your skin.

Okay, so what’s the secret?!

Water. Hot water.

No, not to rinse your face with. You want hot, almost boiling water, that can even come from a pot. The steam that comes from that hot water is magical, as it carefully and gently opens up the pores and allows for deeper cleansing and exfoliating.

During a typical wash, our pores aren’t opened all the way, and our face wash is just cleaning what’s on the surface. But every now and then, it’s important to actually go into the skin and clean what’s beneath those heavy pores!

The natural and simple solution is water steam, and yes, there are actual machines on the market that push steam into your face to help achieve the opening of pores. But if you happen to not own one of these babies, then no problem! All you have to do is pour about a cup of water into a small pot and wait for it to boil. Once the water’s blowing steam, remove from heat and lean your face towards the direction of the steam (but not too close!) and allow the steam to gently open up your pores! It’s a sensational feeling, almost the feeling you get when you’ve sat in the sauna for a good while.

Afterwards, take your regular face wash and continue with your regular routine. The soap will get deep in those pores, and you’ll feel the difference in cleanliness. And, Your skin will thank you for it.

Try it out!

Much love,

Shanon
