Three Easy, Everyday Tips to a Flatter Stomach that We All Know, but Choose to Forget

Hey guys!

Shanon here. So today’s post is going to be a brief health reminder that may come in handy for the upcoming bikini season. A lot of us may not be happy with our slightly squishy tummies (well, I know I’m not!). I’m no expert in fitness and health, but I do know of three tips that I’m sure all of us know but sometimes choose to forget out of laziness. When you read these tips, you might think to yourself “Well, DUH I already know that!” But, do you really carry out these daily practices? I personally find that practicing these tips daily in contrast to skipping these tips once in a while makes a huge difference.

I am in no way a food/health/fitness expert, but these are tips that honestly have helped me personally.

Tip #1:  Drink lots of water!

You’ve probably heard this a thousand times. But there’s a reason for that! Different ways drinking water can help you to achieve a flatter stomach:

  • makes it easier to flush out any toxins you have in your body
  • replacing juices and soda with water saves tons of calories
  • drinking water with a meal makes you more full, the amount of food you eat is reduced
  • ice cold water burns fat and increases your metabolism

Tip #2:  When you need to go, then GO!

I find that waiting to excrete  your bigger wastes makes your stomach flubbier for a longer time! It could just be my opinion from my experience, but I find that when I go to the bathroom to make a doo-doo, my tummy becomes flatter within a few minutes! And, the more often I go to the bathroom, the longer my tummy stays flatter. It really could just be my experience, but try it and see what you think!

Tip #3:  Don’t eat too late.

The last time you eat should be around 8 o’clock, or a couple hours before you go to bed. If you’re hungry at all during the two hours before bed, go grab a light snack. Eating a meal not too long before you go hit the pillow is going to give your system a harder time to digest the food you ate. I imagine it as my dinner just laying and bulging in my stomach until I go to the bathroom the next day! With my experience doing this, I find that my stomach is noticeably flat in the morning when I look in the mirror.

Now, these could be the worst tips that I’ve ever given in my life, but these three tips that work for me in my experience. If you want to know more about the physical aspect, like the exercises and activities, check out other blogs that have the knowledge to share with you about that! >< But as for me, these are just three tricks that always work!
